Invest Immigrant Mentorship

Immigrant Mentorship Program Guidelines

  • Time commitments
    • The formal mentor – mentee relationship will last for six months
    • There will be two cohort groups, each cohort will run for six months
    • Cohort 1: June – November, 2011; Cohort 2: September 2011 – February 2012
    • Mentors and mentees will meet at least once a month and are encouraged to communicate additionally via telephone and e-mail
    • Mentors and mentees will meet or communicate for a total of at least four hours per month
    • Each cohort will meet as the broader group three times during the six month period – at the launch, at orientation and at a recognition event being held at the end of the program
    • Mentors and mentees will also be invited to participate in networking opportunities offered by Enterprise Saint John and the Saint John Board of Trade, plus others, as appropriate

    • The mentor-mentee meetings will take place wherever agreed upon by each pair
    • All participants will be required to get a Police Clearance to participate in the program. We can guide you through the required procedure.
