Workforce Adjustment Program

What is the Program?
The Workforce Adjustment Program offers organizations funding for half of the cost of hiring a Human Resources consultant, up to $10,000, to address Human Resource Issues. The organization must fund the other half of the project.

Who is Eligible?
Employers
Employee/er Associations
Communities and community groups
Industry Associations

What challenges and opportunities might a consultant address?
Some examples are:
  •       Human Resource Policy and Procedure Handbook
  •       Recruitment and Retention Strategies
  •       Health and Wellness Programs
  •       Stress and absenteeism reduction
  •       Succession Planning
  •       Working with persons with disabilities and/or barriers

What will the result be?
The consultant will create a comprehensive roadmap to addressing Human Resource issues, but implementation is up to the organization.

How much paperwork is involved?
The program is one of the easiest administered; there is a letter from the organization outlining their intent, a quote from the consultant, a contract between the organization and the Department of Post Secondary Education Training and Labour, and a final report.
